Well I’m just back from seeing District 9 and I must say this film was amazing. The film is based around one main character who is sent into district 9 to evict the aliens or “prawns” as they are known in the film to another camp out of the main city of Johannesburg. When something happens to him that changes everything. All the aliens really want to do is go home, but humans are too narrow minded and keep the aliens as pretty much prisoners. Everything escalates and combines into a gripping and intense story that keeps you hooked right until the end credits.

I am very pleased that the trailer for this film, unlike most other trailers, gives away as little about the film as possible. District 9 is a movie for sci-fi and action lovers. Peter Jackson is most definitely on form with this hit of 2009.

A must see alien, explosioney extravaganza. 8/10
